Our Team

Robert V. Moriarty, MD, FAOSS

Dr. Moriarty was educated at Boston College, graduating summa cum laude and elected Phi Beta Kappa for academic excellence. His medical training followed at State University of New York where he achieved honors in medicine and surgery.

Dr. Moriarty participated in a surgical internship at North Shore University Hospital, followed by a four (4) year orthopedic residency at the State University of New York where he coauthored several publications and authored a chapter in an orthopedic textbook. He received board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the NYS Orthopedic Association, a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Moriarty is a former high school and Divison I college athlete who remains active in sports.

Paula Drivas, RPA-C

Ms. Drivas received a Bachelors Degree from CUNY, Queens College and graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Bayley Seton Hospital. She practiced Emergency Medicine for over 19 years, with a special interest in Orthopedic Trauma.

Ms. Drivas trained at Mary Immaculate Hospital, New York Hospital Cornell, and the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She is a fellow of the NCCPA, AAPA and NYSSPA. In addition, she has taught at the Touro College and CUNY Downstate Physician Assistant Programs.

Prior to joining our practice, Ms. Drivas was the Supervising Physician Assistant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at LIJMC, where she was credited for founding the first Emergency Medicine PA Residency Program in New York State. She also served as the Program Director.

Ms. Drivas coached Little League Baseball and enjoys skiing and traveling with her husband and three sons.

Paula Drivas is Fluent in Spanish and Greek.

Megan A. O'Connor

Practice Manager

Ms. O'Connor has been in the orthopedic field for approximately 15 years. She is an active member of the AAOE, MGMA, and the NYS Bones Society, where she currently serves as President Elect. Ms. O’Connor is also currently pursuing her ACMPE Board Certification.

Nancy Koentje

Radiological Technician

Ms. Koentje is an experienced licensed Radiologic Technician with additional training in Bone Densitometry. Ms. Koentje has been with the practice for nearly ten years and assists in all aspects of patient clinical care.

Joan Buchanan

Authorizations and Medical Records

Ms. Buchanan has served in the medical community of Huntington for approximately 30 years and can assist you with any of your administrative needs.
